Glorious Rain

Good rain means about a 5 degree drop in temperature, it's actually 26 degrees now. It's raining now and Gideon has just put some jerky on, so it's a nice change to have all the windows and doors open. Here's a picture of the view from the study balcony. If you look really hard you may be able to see the rain.... really hard.

It has rained a fair bit in the last 20 hours or so, about 2cm. Not always heavy, but consistently going. Last night I went for my first swim in a storm. The lightening effects were awesome, and the water was still warm.

Hola gorgeous g!

Wonderful of you to update us with affairs in steamy Darwin, Son and I have thoroughly appreciated the update.

A few random comments and stray questions on the past few blogs of yours ...

- I've my own hot weather story to relate. Rode home in 40 degree heat a few weeks ago, and the HR was in the low 170s for most of it (eeek!). Standing on the pedals to overtake a guy on Col de Kew produced a HR that peaked at 183 (not bad given that it's the first time that an old man like me has hit that high a HR in a while.

- Hills ... you got my AAC story. Hope you weren't too bored with the lengthy account. :D A wonderful weekend - Bright's a beautiful spot.

- What did you think of Volver?

- How's big G?

- Do you have any photos from the brunch down by the Yarra? - or wait, was it Tania who was taking the photos ...

- How's the job hunting going?

- Do you have a land line no / what is it?

Down here, all's smooth. Busy-ish few weeks coming up; Son's just started work again and it's already tough! Work for me is beginning to build up again ... these things happen. ;)

Maybe just flick me an email to answer the questions - apologies, a question led to another, then another, then ... ;)

Luv,

Rob
